Hydrofoils Incorporated has achieved an industry-wide milestone with an improved design of our “Inherently Stable” lightweight hydrofoil that cruises safely at speeds from sixty to well over one hundred knots. This new technology incorporates significant improvements in all other existing marine transportation.

Current hydrofoils are essentially boats with foils placed on the bottom to raise the hull out of the water, reducing resistance and thus increasing the speed of the vessel. The appearance of these foils is almost an afterthought, similar to trying to get a dump truck airborne simply by attaching wings.

Our patented, proprietary vessels are designed from the ground up, using lightweight materials and complex hydrodynamic and aerodynamic principles that only Hydrofoils Incorporated has advanced for many years. Speed, safety, stability, reliability, and efficiency are our main advantages.

We provide a stable marine transportation platform with reduced pitch, yaw, roll, heave, sway, and surge (at dock or at speeds) while producing almost no wake. Our hydrofoils fly like airplanes, only using small “water-foils” instead of “air-foils” to lift the hull clear of the waves. Take-off, up to speed cruising, and slow to stop can all be done within a few boat lengths.

The front foil system is shock-mounted, providing wave dampening suspension to the cabin. The engines are mounted outboard, airplane style, to provide a modular, simple drive train change if servicing is required. The entire engine, gearbox, shaft, propeller, and fuel tank ride on a pivoted beam and can be quickly removed and replaced.
