Hydrofoils Incorporated,
a Delaware corporation was founded by Kenneth E. Cook,
of Rumson, NJ and Lake Worth, Florida over thirty years
ago. It has been primarily a research and development
company for the design, manufacture and testing of high-speed
marine vehicles. The company has concentrated on all
forms of vehicles using high-speed supercavitating hydrofoils
and is currently conducting open water tests of unmanned,
remotely piloted hydrofoils with speeds estimated at
approaching mach one. Early successes included the first
hydrofoil to EVER exceed 100 knots, which was demonstrated
by invitation of the Society of Naval Architects and
Marine Engineers (SNAME) at the Advanced Ships Conference
in San Diego, California. This design is currently the
world’s fastest hydrofoil. We have successfully
tested many different proprietary designs and have more
on water run time than any other company in the world
in this field. These efforts have led to the development
of very safe marine vehicles that are much more advanced
than those currently in use. This is the first time
that we have offered our technology for commercial applications,
and the worldwide response has been overwhelming.
Core management was completed
in 1999. The team is closely knit with well over one
hundred years of combined industry experience. Each
individual has first hand knowledge of the proprietary
technology and a strong realization of its potential
to create a major impact on the industry. As such, a
great deal of commitment and singleness of purpose exists
within the team. |
